Have a wee adventure exploring Red Queen Renaissance. Click any channel title to
be taken to the Youtube channel. Each channel has its own personality, focus and flavor.
You never know which handle might open a door you thought had closed x
Red Queen Wisdom
If you’re a deep thinker, like going on philosophical holidays, want a wee bit of guidance
or are just looking for another human who has battled through the challenges life throws in the way. You may just find this channel works well for you. It is the space I use for sharing little golden nuggets of wisdom discovered whilst musing to myself about my own life and experiences. That I suspect many people could identify with.
WARNING – you may get lost in my ramblings, I know I certainly do.
Red Queen Music
Music, song writing, gigs and creativity. Come along with me on my adventure as I reconnect with my love of everything music after a very long break from it and believing that door was closed. But sometimes doors aren’t closed. We just stop trying the handle.
Red Queen Science
This is where I get my science geek on. I have a masters degree in public health nutrition and would say I am a health scientist by training. But my love of science is far wider than that. Here I will share science themed content. Attempting to explain complicated ideas in a less complicated way is something I seem to do naturally and I
thoroughly enjoy helping humans learn.
Red Queen Beauty
Not your average beauty channel. This is a safe place to explore what makes you feel better about what you see in in the mirror. Whether you’re an ageing goth like me trying to grow old disgracefully, your body has changed or you’re someone who wants to explore parts of you you’re not ready to bare to the world. But may like to show that side
one day. There is likely to be something on this channel to help you become the you you want to be.
Red Queen Builds
I am forever building things or creating my own ‘things’ to solve challenges and reduce friction in life. Examples include building a modern take on a gypsy wagon with a fully contained wet room and a 400 watt solar power system on the A frame of an old caravan, upcycling a table into a snake cabinet or improvising accessibility work arounds. If you want ideas or to improve your building and DIY skills. Or you just like watching other people make stuff (as I do). You will likely enjoy this channel.
Red Queen Learning Labs
This is where I share my journey building Red Queen Renaissance and reconnecting myself to using programmes and tools to help me achieve the Red Queen Goal. After years away being a carer I have lost a lot of the skills I used to take for granted. Watch me as I refresh or learn from scratch my use of tools like Excel, Word, Microsoft programmes, AI, Chat GPT among others. It may just help you build the door you didn’t even know existed, try the handle and start your own discovery journey towards your goal.
Red Queen Art
As a commissioned artist I wanted a space to share my historical and current work. I used to do A LOT of dog portraits to help raise funds for dog charities so initially you may feel slightly dogmageddoned on this channel. I am slowly starting to revisit my art as a therapy tool now and have found it really helps me manage my cPTSD flares. I will share my works in progress as I create art that connects more of my internal world to the outside world meaning the subject matter should be a tad more interesting than ‘oh look, another poodle’!
Red Queen Photography
As an pro photographer who has been out of the game for a while. This is where I will start to reconnect with my love of togging. There will be historical and current work shared from weddings, cars and dogs through to hairdressing, baby shoots and
random insects (I really fell down a macro rabbit hole for a while). And likely some images that make you think a bit.
Red Queen Dog Behaviour
Follow Kira (my wee diamond dog) and myself on our journey. As the owner of a 41kg giant, reactive spanglemuffin (my loveable but irrational problem child, Echo). I have been working hard to figure out how to help him navigate the world without being a huge liability. I am not a dog trainer or behaviourist. But I thought sharing our progress may help other dog parents who are wondering why their experience of dog ownership feels more like constant hypervigilance than the squishy cuddly experience most expect when they get a dog.
